Sweet Giveaway: Chloe’s Vegan Desserts

Congratulations to Cee, winner of the copy of Chloe’s Vegan Desserts. Please email me with your contact information so I can have your book sent!

Mid-week calls for a sweet giveaway, don’t you think? I’ve been a fan of cookbook author Chloe Coscarelli for over a year now after I received a review copy of her book Chloe’s Kitchen. Her vegan recipes are delectable enough to please the pickiest carnivore; she does healthier comfort food well and offers lots tasty inspiration in our kitchen.

When I found out that Chloe had a dessert cookbook out, I was super excited. I’m a big believer in vegan desserts; they can be so decadent! The book is bright and beautiful with mouthwatering photos of desserts like Mocha Mud Pie, Hot-Fudge-on-the-Bottom Cake, and Mojito Chocolate Chip Cookies. Sounds intriguing, doesn’t it?

I’m looking forward to finding the time for making and eating all of them!

I love most (vegan) desserts, but I don’t think I’ve made a vegan strawberry shortcake yet. That’s one of my favorites–so simple, so fresh. I just have to hit on the right vegan whipped cream replacement (yes, I’ve tried whipped coconut cream; not a fan).

I used to love red velvet cake but I have not found a vegan version yet. 🙁 I “like” Chef Chloe on Facebook. 🙂

I liked on FB, and my favorite dessert is a good apple crumble and some ice cream. Fortunately, when I went vegan, I found a good crumble recipe, and I use a coconut or soy based-ice cream. Sometimes, I just do a good, rich soy creamer over the top of it 🙂

My favorite dessert is creme brulee and while I’ve had it many times in restaurants, I’ve not yet attempted to make it at home

Hi! My favorite dessert is tiramisu. My friend made a vegan version last year and although I don’t think it was easy or cheap, it was AMAZING!
