What I’m Reading This Week

I read a lot of blogs. My Sites I love (which needs updates!) page probably captures about half of them, and past Friday Foodie Features have been another attempt to share some more of those blogs with you. The feature has fallen by the wayside; I actually thought it would be easier to find a weekly feature just by putting a call out at the end of each post, but no such luck!

Since I do read so many blogs, I thought it would be fun to share with each other what we are reading every so often. Below are just a few of the great posts, in no particular order, that have caught my eye in recent days and are bookmarked for future use.

Cake, Batter, and Bowl Breakfast Sandwiches with Leeks, Brie, and Avocado Because it makes me want it to be Saturday for a lazy brunch at home, right this minute!

Chef Robin White The Ceja Virtual Wine Dinner – Here’s How it Works Because the next best thing to a dinner with Robin is a virtual dinner with her. I am hoping to participate in at least a few courses of this meal from Boston!

Food to Run for Race Recap: The Boston Marathon Because Lizzy is a rockstar for running Boston on such a warm day. . . or any day! She pushed through lots of difficult moments, and I love this recap!

The Purple Foodie Tomato and Rosemary Focaccia – Because this post combines a comfy bread recipe with fresh golden tomatoes, a sign that summer is not too far away.

Simple Hedonisms Wine of the Week – Sheldon 2009 Graciano Ripkin Vineyard, Lodi Because I love Sheldon wines and their story, and if I had a wine of the week, this would definitely be one of them!

A Cambridge Story Homemade Bagels Because MA bagels rarely live up to this Jersey girl’s standards, and Emily makes it seem so easy to make your own!

Delightful Repast Vegetarian Shepherd’s Pie Because I have been dying for some Shepherd’s pie, and we still have the wintry weather to make this!

A Thought for Food Recipe: Individual Cheese Souffles Because these souffles are gorgeous and probably something I would never dream of attempting, so I’ll live vicariously through this post!

I really want those breakfast sandwiches too! And I definitely think Lizzy is a rockstar! I’m pretty inspired by Emily’s bagel post too and hope that I will finally get around to making bagels some time this year.
