My October

Live Writer is still broken. My husband removed it from my computer and reinstalled it, and it won’t open. I am not sure what to do; I am semi-panicking because I have about 4 blog posts to write, and I have been so spoiled by Live Writer that I just can’t return to blogging in WordPress. I will if I have to though. If you are new, please excuse the photo-less posts and font issues and go back to read old posts J

Earlier this week, I had a post where I borrowed a great blog idea from Melissa, and I received a ton of fun responses. In the spirit of borrowing ideas from other bloggers, I thought today I would do a rundown of what is to come in October, a la Megan and her monthly blog posts. They are fun to read, and I think fun to write because you can see all of the things there are to look forward to. So here’s what I have going on for just the first half of October! Add in weekly wine classes, work, blogging, and a kickoff to my marathon fundraising, and the launch of Red White Boston (enter the giveaway here) and it will surely be a busy one!

October 2- Boston Local Food Festival  I am a local food festival volunteer, and I hope to see many of you there! Afterwards I am looking forward to a quiet fall evening at home.

October 4- BCAE Behind the Line preview  I have been invited by a friend to attend the preview of the BCAE’s new Behind the Line class where participants actually get to cook with local chefs.

October 9- New York City Wine and Food Festival We only have tickets to one event, the John Lennon 70th birthday at City Winery, but we are SO excited to be in New York. Plus I get to stay at home with my family while we are there!

October 14- Birthday celebration for my friend Meghan at Drink

October 15 – Blogger get together at Mistral I am looking forward to eating at this delectable and kinda fancy eatery. They have a great fall cocktail menu!

October 16- The Boston Lobster Party  On Saturday, October 16, 2010, The Boston Lobster Party will be held at The Trolley Barn (540 Harrison Avenue), and it will feature lobster-based dishes from several restaurants as well as craft beers from a number of local brewers.

Once Live Writer is fixed, I will have recaps of dinner at the Back Bay Social Club, spa day at Bliss Spa, and the Boston Sports Woman Cheers to Confidence event. I miss blogging normally!

What are you looking forward to this month?

Looks like you have your hands full with exciting events. Awesome! Hope you get your Live Writer fixed soon so we can see all the cool shots from them. You will no doubt have a blast at all of them.

Currently, the only thing going on in October is the wedding and I am definitely excited about that. We both are, of course. Can’t wait!

BTW – Check out the blog when you can. I mentioned you in today’s post.

So happy I ran into you today! And so happy you like my blog post. It’s really the only way I can keep track of what’s going on! I’m planning on going to Mistral as long as I’m not heading to the Cape that night, so hopefully I’ll see you there too.

      Good luck with everything!

Your October does sound great! I’m looking forward to: pumpkin ales, fires in the firepit & the smell of candles in Jack-o-Lanterns. Don’t forget to post your marathon website when it’s up.
