What’s better than eating some delicious, fresh fruit that’s been delivered to your door? Eating fruit and helping to fight MS, that’s what!

Edible Arrangements fruit arrangements are a healthy and beautiful gift for any occasion. I am a huge fan, as you can tell by the below photo from my birthday last Tuesday. My mom sent me this Edible Arrangements basket, and we polished it off in just a couple of days. It was a sweet way to celebrate, and it provided us both with healthy snacks.

Edible Arrangements

Orange Blossom

For the month of March, Edible Arrangements has been donating a portion of sales of their Orange Blossom arrangement to the National MS Society, New England Chapter. To celebrate this month of giving and to promote the initiative in its final week, Edible Arrangements have offered to give one lucky (New England) reader an Orange Blossom arrangement. Sounds pretty sweet to me! More details on the partnership between Edible Arrangements and the National MS Society can be found in the press release at the end of this post. Here’s how to enter to win:

1) Leave a comment here telling me your favorite fruit of all time.

2) For an extra entry, link back to this post on  Twitter with “I want to win fruit from @DoFruitNE and @traveleatlovemm.”

I will choose a winner on Friday morning.

National MS Society Partners with Edible Arrangements® to Raise Money for Multiple Sclerosis Research and Services

Proceeds from Edible Arrangements Orange Blossom® Sales During the Month of March Benefit National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater New England Chapter

Waltham, MA—March 1, 2012 —Today, the National MS Society, Greater New England Chapter announced its partnership with the Boston-Manchester Co-op of Edible Arrangements in a campaign to raise funds and awareness to stop progression, restore function and end multiple sclerosis forever.

During the month of March, coinciding with the National MS Society’s MS Awareness Month, Edible Arrangements stores throughout Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire will donate a portion of their sales from every Orange Blossom arrangement purchased to the National MS Society. This arrangement is especially fitting because orange is the official color of The Society.  As long as arrangements are ordered and paid for during the month of March, they can be delivered at any time throughout the year.

“We are honored to have the opportunity to give back to the community and help fight a disease that affects so many people across the world,” states Chris Dellamarggio, inaugural Edible Arrangements franchise owner and president of the Boston-Manchester Co-op.”

“The National MS Society, Greater New England Chapter is thrilled to work with Edible Arrangements, a company that was built around celebrating life. This fundraiser helps individuals and families move together toward a world free of MS,” said Arlyn White, President & CEO of the Greater New England Chapter.

To order an Orange Blossom bouquet, call or visit any of the participating MA or NH locations or visit www.EdibleArrangements.com/MS and select any Orange Blossom arrangement (product codes: 1025, 1064 or 1066).

Stop & Shop

Thank you to Stop & Shop for this giveaway! It is now closed. Congrats to Megan, the winner of the gift card. If you would like a chance to win a $100 gift card, please check out my ALLY Foundation Boston Marathon raffle.

Over the course of planning our Boston Marathon fundraiser, I have been blown away by the generosity of area businesses. One of those businesses is not just giving us a raffle prize, but they are also giving me a gift card to give away to one lucky reader!

Stop & Shop is a company that started in Massachusetts and has grown throughout New England, New Jersey, and New York.  If you live in these areas, I am sure you have shopped there at least once. Despite their growth, they have stayed true to their values, working with the community on hunger issues, helping out the Jimmy Fund, and more.

Stop & Shop has recognized that times are tough, and in response to that, has launched a new line of products called Guaranteed Value. The Guaranteed Value line is full of products we all use, things like cereal, snacks, sauce, laundry detergent, and other household items. More than 60% of the line is $2.00 or less.

The new items can be recognized by their orange packaging, which is no-frills, free of pricy designs and unnecessary materials, which helps Stop & Shop save and pass that savings on to their customers. Pretty great, right?

Now one of you get to do some Guaranteed Value shopping of your own! Just leave a comment here telling me an item that’s always on your grocery list, and enter to win a $25 gift card to Stop & Shop!

Thanks again to Stop & Shop for their support of The ALLY Foundation!

More on the raffle to come next week. . .

Thanks for entering, everyone! This contest is now closed. Random.org picked comment #1! Congrats to Betsy, I hope you enjoy the wine!

The holiday season is the perfect time for entertaining friends and family, both in elaborate, planned dinners and in instances where friends are in the neighborhood and just stop by. For us, it’s always important to have delicious, food-friendly wines around to open for such occasions, and with so many events happening, it’s also very helpful if these wines are a great value.

Tapeña Wines fill this need perfectly. Tapeña—the wine with the little fork on the label—is a big blend of tradition, camaraderie and good taste. A fusion of the terms tapas, the American equivalent of bar hopping with an epicurean twist, and peña, a gathering of close friends, Tapeña is the definitive food-friendly, value-priced wine at $9.99. Tapeña drinkers are like good friends, and as such, they offer an easy and fun rewards program.  Register now, and start earning rewards!

Since Tapeña is all about sharing, they are giving me the opportunity to help one of you celebrate the holiday season in style with a Tapeña  party pack. One lucky reader (aged 21 or over!) will win a bottle each of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Verdejo and Rosé, along with some festive Tapeña party swag.
