Here I go again! In 2008 at the finish line of the Boston Marathon, I said “never again”. And yet somehow, in 2010 I ran and had a fabulous time. I didn’t get a number last year, so I am hoping my post-race excitment from 2010 carries over into 2012 because I am officially running the 2012 Boston Marathon to raise money for The ALLY Foundation!
If you are interested in the Foundation or my fundraising efforts, you can find out more here:

Or just check it out to see how young we looked less than 2 years ago! Yikes!
I’ll also be hosting a fundraising event later this winter with a fellow blogger. We already have some great raffle items; if you work with a company interested in donating something, please let me know. More details to come on that!
The ALLY Foundation is very near and dear to my heart. I believe the work they are doing will go a long way in protecting people from violence, including the many children fearfully facing abusers every day. And as I mention on my fundraising page, everything they do, while it requires a ton of seriousness, is also filled with light, and their events are a ton of fun.
If you are free tomorrow night, you can join The ALLY Foundation at the Boston Harbor Hotel for their holiday soiree. Enjoy cocktails from Double Cross Vodka and food from Meritage’s famed chef, Daniel Bruce.Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door, if still available. You can purchase tickets here.
I won’t be blogging much about running; there is so much food, wine, and travel to cover, but I might check in time to time with an update. And I will be back later today with a post about our weekend in Stowe. I have so many recommendations!
