What was your favorite candy bar when you were a kid? It seems like an appropriate question given that Halloween is on Monday, doesn’t it? And it’s definitely appropriate because I had the chance this week to attend Bianca’s 3 Musketeers party to try the new and improved version of one of my childhood favorites. The party, held at the W Hotel Boston, was full of chocolate, wine, and friends, a wonderful way to spend an evening.
Before heading up to the party, I wandered around the lounge at the W Hotel. Admittedly, I was lost and didn’t pay attention to where the party actually was, but I do love this lounge. It’s a nice mix of swanky and comfy.
When I headed upstairs for the party, I encountered a table piled high with the new 3 Musketeers bars. I checked in, chatted with Bianca, and scoped out the scene while digging in to a fluffy, chocolate-y 3 Musketeers bar.
There were passed appetizers, but the highlight of the event space (other than the open bar) was a table filled with cakes made with 3 Musketeers bars. Doesn’t this look divine?
I opted not to have a piece, instead enjoying the 3 Musketeers bar in its purest form along with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc while catching up with some Boston bloggers.
I had never attended a party to celebrate a candy bar before, but it was a fun and sweet occasion. I don’t know if I could tell a difference between the old and new 3 Musketeers; I might have to do a side-by-side taste test to figure it out. However, I loved that the candy bar still maintains that rich chocolate shell filled with a fluffy, light chocolate center. I love candy bars frozen, and 3 Musketeers was one that I definitely used to order from my old ice cream man, Mr. Buddy.
