Phew, happy that Monday is out of the way! I started the week out not feeling so well, but by the time I was in my pajamas watching Gossip Girl, I was in a MUCH better mood.
I had plans to meet Elina and Kirsten to catch up over some wine at Bin 26 Enoteca on Charles Street, so after working a long day, I wandered over to Beacon Hill.
Along the way I snapped a few photos of the chilly yet beautiful day we were having in Boston. My walk through the Public Garden was popping with color, especially lots of green thanks to all of the rain we had earlier this year!
Mrs. Mallard and her “Make Way for Ducklings” brood were shining in the sunlight.
The produce at Deluca’s looked juicy and bright.
I arrived at Bin 26 a little early, so I was able to get a few more photos while the daylight was good. Ahhh the stresses of blogging!
Bin 26 is a wine bar with a great wine selection and a sleek, clean, and naturally lit decor. As a lover of European – style wine bars, I need to get myself to Bin 26 more often!
I went with a Channing Daughters Rosato of Cabernet Franc from New York. A beautiful pale pink, this wine had a slight taste of raspberries. It was dry and food friendly, and I definitely could have had another glass.
Since I was having dinner later with the hubs, I snacked on some bread, cheese, and zucchini carpaccio which was incredibly simple and healthy.
The zucchini carpaccio was drizzled with citrus olive oil and topped with pine nuts. It was so flavorful! Speaking of citrus olive oil, have you entered to win a gift certificate from The Olive Press?
We also had a cheese plate, but I am somehow missing a photo of it. Bin 26 is a great place to catch up over some wine and small plates or dishes of pasta if you are in the mood for a little something more. It’s location in the adorably European neighborhood of Beacon Hill makes it an ideal place for dinner before or after a wander around on a summer evening.
I loved meeting up with Kirsten and Elina, and I look forward to seeing them again soon.
How was your Monday?

Sounds like an awesome place. I am jealous of the cool blog community that seems to exist over there in Boston! You guys have got it goin on!
My monday… I have already forgotten it because as I write this comment it is 3pm on Tuesday 🙂 Actually, it was fine. Basically work, teaching English to my colleagues at lunchtime and watching coyote ugly and eating popcorn for dinner. So goes my exciting life 🙂
