It is a gorgeous day here in Boston! I purchased knee sleeves today, and as a result, had a fabulous, pain free run. I also bought a wrist wrap to help with my ever worsening carpal tunnel syndrome, and my wrist has never felt better! Pretty soon I will just be all wrapped up 🙂
I stopped to do a little shopping on my way home, as I had some fun Nigella-inspired recipes planned. I got all of my ingredients at the regular old grocery store, but then stopped at our new Newmarket Produce for some produce goodness:
If you live in Boston, I would highly recommend a trip to this produce store. It is dirt cheap, the produce is fresh, and the staff is super nice. It is at the corner of Mass Ave and Columbia Road in Dorchester.
For tonight’s creations, I made Nigella’s naan pizzas with my own raw sauce twist and caramel croissant bread pudding . Certainly not a light dish, but will be wonderful served topped with all of the berries I bought today!
For my naan pizzas, I made a simple, raw sauce of plum tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and cracked black pepper. I gently heated the naan in the oven and topped it with the sauce and crumbled Trader Joe’s goat cheese. Perfect for this hot summer evening. What are your go to hot summer night meals?
The caramel croissant pudding is definitely a splurge dish, not healthy at all. But it is delicious and requires very little baking skill. Below I have posted a few photos of the process. If you would like the recipe, definitely check out Nigella’s site.
I am off to do some cleanup and stretching before reading Boston Magazine in bed, perhaps with a wee glass of Greenvale Vidal Blanc :). Have a great evening!

Its soooo easy! And it works with different ingredients like soy milk instead of regular milk.

That bread pudding looks so good. I am obsessed with bread puddings because it is one of my favorite desserts. If it is on a dessert menu–I will be ordering it. BUT warm chocolate souffle or molten cake rules over the bread pudding. haha. I have a HUGE sweet tooth and that is one of my weaknesses. 🙂
